Support of Chestny Znak at Smartix self-service checkouts
Smartix software for self-service checkouts has been fully developed for the functionality of the permitting mode of the Chestny Znak system. For example, from September 1, 2024, the online verification mode of milk products becomes mandatory for all sellers and Smartix checkouts fully support this functionality.
How the system works
Buyer scans product marking code at the self-service checkout and Smartix self-checkout software makes online request to “Chestny Znak” marking system for verification. If the product is prohibited from being sold according to the marking system, self-checkout software notifies about this and blocks the possibility of paying for it.
Requirement to check various products, including milk products, through the Chestny Znak system is due to increased quality control, the need to track counterfeit products and identify violations of manufacturing technology. Self-service checkouts must fully provide online verification and Smartix devices fully solve this problem in accordance with legal requirements.
